- Mishpacha. The word means: "Literally, "family". ...The word conveys a warm feeling of friendship." (JPS)
This is Katie. She is our mishpacha. Part of our family, our tribe, our church whanau. Katie comes over after school on Mondays and stays for dinner. We chat about life, friends, boys, school and God. She colours in with my kids and helps with their homework after tea.
- Letting others, across the generations, be a part of your family develops rich and awesome multi-generational relationships - definitely we find this true for myself, Katie and my kids as we all feed into each other's lives. In biblical times "family" didn't mean who lived under your roof. It meant those who were part of your tribe.Katie is part of our tribe. Love ya Katie xxx
