Schools

Jaimee and Kate's favourite game to play is 'schools'.

Today they couldn't agree on who was going to be the teacher, so Jaimee said they could both be the teacher.  Armed with a mountain of books, they sat on their 'teacher' chairs side by side and proceeded to 'read' book after book after book to their imaginary class.  Apparently that's all teachers do - read books methodically until they have gotten through a big pile.
Kate neglects her role as teacher to listen to  Jaimee's reading!

Jaimee was Miss Leiberman (her favourite student teacher from America this year), so she put on a wonderful american accent for her class.  When she 'reads' her books, she uses amazing expression and voices - it is adorable to watch.  She has a great habit of stopping mid sentence and talking to her class about the story as well...so cute!  Today she caught me watching her with a goofy smile on my face and she scowled at me "No...not cute" she said firmly.  I lost it with a horrid case of the giggles at that (much to her disgust).

Kate 'read' by making lots of high pitched rather annoying noises beside her.  Jaimee turned to her and asked politely (in her american accent still)  "Excuse me Mrs Ferris (that is her teachers name at school)....can you please stop that noise...the children can't listen".

This has been their favourite game for ages, I would not be surprised if Jaimee became a teacher like her mummy actually....Her mother, aunty, granma, and 2 of her great grandfathers all teach or work with children!
