Water and a friend

Today was one of those rare Saturdays where we had NO agenda.   Ahh...bliss.  We have been meaning to get the girls best buddy from Rascals (thats daycare) over for ages, and after running into her and her mum at the Library earlier this week, it seemed like a great day to do this.

Quiet time with Caity
The girls had a great time swimming, playing lengthy games of "mums and babies" and watching Mary Poppins.  Our house was a chorus of giggles all day long, it was lovely to hear.  My drama queen Jaimee had the odd sulky moment with tears because she desperately wanted to share the joy of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with Caity, but Kate and her were far too busy reading books together to pay attention to a movie, no matter how many times Jaimee said "look Caity...oh this bit is great...Caity: you want to see this bit eh?".  Hehehe.   But on the whole, the girls played wonderfully together and left me to get on with harvesting the garden for the freezer and making baby food (the joys of being a mummy!).

splish splash fun!
Luke also got in on the action, he loved playing in the cool water. I love watching him discover new things
- today was how to slap the water with his arm to make a splash, getting mummy quite wet in the process!
